Douglas Gibson, with more than 40 years of experience, both on his own account and as a commercial intermediary. Gibson has an impressive resume of profitable results in business start-up, corporate strategy development, international sales and negotiations, and technology development. In the mid-1990s, Gibson founded Petrosol, which generated more than $ 110 million in total sales through 2002. Petrosol, in 2000, became a partner with Sensa, which developed revolutionary fiber optic detection technologies for use in the oil and gas industry. Schlumberger acquired Sensa in 2000.
Most recently, as the founder and CEO of Fotech Solutions Limited, Gibson led the company in raising $ 13 million in private equity investment from Scottish Equity Partners, Energy Ventures and the Saudi-based Shoaibi Group. Fotech is developing proprietary fiber optic equipment for acoustic and pressure sensors for the oil and gas and security industries. Gibson also held the position of CEO at Vibtech, a provider of seismic recording systems for the oil and gas industry, where his role was to build the company for sale. This resulted in a successful exit for $ 65 million. He brings experience, in terms of business strategy and energy consultation. It has operated among the world’s oil centers in search of the best and latest energy-related technologies, partnering with talented and visionary companies, as well as creating successful new companies.
